I am fascinated by the connection between body, mind and spirit, so in my classes we will explore all of these different realms of our Selves.

I am a certified teacher in Yin Yoga and Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and Hatha Yoga . I teach Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation in the Netherlands. I also work as an Amanae Transformational Bodywork practitioner.

For me, yoga is a way to reconnect to oneself, to lean into uncomfortable emotions, thoughts and all sorts of resistances and to breathe into them, giving space to all that needs to arise in the present moment. By breathing into all of ourselves (and not only into the happy feelings of love and light) we create space in body and mind to reconnect to who we truly are. And with that, flow more easily through life – with a relaxed body and mind, feeling anchored within ourselves.

At Shanti Retreat, I will primarily be teaching Yin Yoga which is slow and meditative. For me it is a practice in surrendering to what is. To not resist life – because there are no mistakes. But to breathe with it, to lean in to feelings of discomfort and to feel whatever emotion or physical sensation presents itself in that moment. And then breathe again. To let go of the expectations of the ego and realize there is nothing to gain nor lose.

During your stay at Shanti Retreat I am more than happy to help you reconnect to the deeper layers of your Self by working with you during the yoga classes. I also offer Amanae Transformational Bodywork sessions on an individual basis, which can be booked separately.

Jeg er cand.mag. i Europæisk Etnologi, Yogalærer og Mindfulnessinstruktør Udover mine egne arrangementer arbejder jeg freelance som foredragsholder, mindfulnessinstruktør og yogalærer i blandt andre Indre ro i Odense og for rejsebureauet Tid til ro.

Jeg er uddannet hatha yogalærer hos Yoga Vidya-AyurYoga Ashram i Indien og Mindfulness MBSR-instruktør hos Dansk Center for Mindfulness ved Aarhus Universitet.

Siden 2012 har jeg i min fritid arbejdet som yogalærer og løbende med den opgave, har jeg styrket min egen meditationspraksis bl.a. gennem min uddannelse på Aarhus Universitet og på forskellige stilleretreats i både Danmark, Irland og England.

Jeg har desuden i de sidste 20 år arbejdet med strategisk ledelse samt personale-, projekt- og processledelse i private firmaer og i store offentlige institutioner.

For mig er yoga, mindfulness og meditation en livspraksis som hjælper mig til at være mere tilstede i nuet samtidig med, at jeg øver mig i at se mine reaktionsmønstre og vanetænkning. Træningen gør det lettere at administrere den tid, jeg har og at fokusere på det, jeg synes er vigtigt i mit liv. Styrken ved yoga og mindfulness er at lade øvelserne og den daglige praksis virke af sig selv.
