Shanti Retreat is located on the beautiful island Langeland in the South Funen Archipelago. Langeland is one of the most scenic places in Denmark. It is not a coincidence that the famous Danish poet Adam Oehlenschläger while visiting Langeland was inspired to write the Danish National Anthem “There is a Lovely Land”.
Shanti Retreat is surrounded by idyllic landscape and lies within walking distance of a charming seaport and one of the best beaches on the island. The Retreat consists of historical buildings surrounded by a park-like garden with an abundance of old fruit trees and beautiful flowers and plants.
”Shanti” is a Sanskrit term and means calmness and inner peace. As the name suggests Shanti Retreat has been created to help you feel relaxed and connected. Hence, it is a perfect place for physical and mental recreation.
Our ambition is to be an international community so we welcome guests, yoga instructors and teachers from all over the world.
